Amy Schumer Is Giving Us Major Jennifer Lawrence Vibes in This Red Gown

Trainwreck star channeled the Oscar winner at the Elle Women in Hollywood event

Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence are taking their friendship to the next level—they're sharing clothes!

OK, not actually, but Schumer totally channeled her friend's Oscars look at Monday's Elle's Women in Hollywood Awards. The Inside Amy Schumer star stunned in a red gown on the red carpet and completed her look by wearing her long blonde locks down with a slight wave. J.Law donned a very similar look (read: basically twinning) at the 2011 Academy Awards, her first time attending the event in honor of her nomination for Winter's Bone.

Although Lawrence didn't take home the highly coveted gold trophy that year, she did earn a best-dressed nod in her Calvin Klein Collection gown, which was designed by Francisco Costa. The only difference between the comedienne and the Oscar winner—Lawrence later won for Silver Linings Playbook—was Schumer opted for a red lip while Lawrence went for a nude-lip look.

Either way, both looked red hot in their respective gowns.

Schumer and Lawrence's friendship certainly has grown leaps and bounds this year, so much so, in fact, that after vacationing together they're now working on a screenplay. "We play sisters," Lawrence dished to the New York Times. "We're almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We've got about 100 pages right now."

"Amy and I were creatively made for each other," she added. "We have different flavors. It's been the most fun experience of my life."

Their friendship began after The Hunger Games star emailed Schumer to compliment her on the hit that was Trainwreck, and the rest, as they say, is history.

"I emailed her after I saw Trainwreck and said, 'I don't know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I'm in love with you,'" she told the newspaper. "We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting."

She added, "We really hit it off, to say the least."

Who knew that one email could lead to endless entertainment from these two. From jet skiing together to filming a movie with Aziz Ansari, Schumer and Lawrence are making us insanely jealous of their growing bond.
