Liza Morales, Mother of Lamar Odom's Children, Tweets ''God Is Good'' After Athlete Wakes Up From Coma

Athlete was out of a coma as of Friday afternoon

Lamar Odom's loved ones are celebrating today.

The former NBA star's ex-girlfriend and mother of his two children, Liza Morales, took to Twitter tonight to rejoice in the fact that Lamar woke up from his coma earlier today. "The TRUTH is God is good. All the time. Continued prayers for my children and their father. Thank you for the support and well wishes," she wrote.

The 35-year-old former Los Angeles Lakers star made a medical leap today when he regained consciousness after being hospitalized on Tuesday, following a drug overdose at a brothel in Nevada. Odom was able to communicate, and opened his eyes, saw Khloe Kardashian, who has been by his bedside throughout this emotional journey, said, "Hey, baby," gave her a thumbs up and then went back to sleep, a source told E! News.

The source also said he is no longer using a breathing tube and can breathe on his own. 

E! News learned on Wednesday that the 31-year-old E! star arranged for Odom's father, Joe Odom, as well as Lamar's two children, Destiny Odom and Lamar Odom Jr. and their mother to fly out from New York to Vegas to Sunrise Hospital to be by Odom's side.

"Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad. We are here with our family and friends," a statement from Lamar's children read. "We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time. We ask for your continued prayers."
