Jennifer Lawrence's op-ed speaking out against the gender wage gap is making quite an impact: Hollywood has rallied in support of her message, and it looks like D.C.'s taking note, too!

On Friday, presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton tweeted her praise for J-Law's "Why Do I Make Less Than My Co-Stars" piece in Lena Dunham's newsletter Lenny Letter.

"Brava, Jennifer," wrote the former Secretary of State. "It's hard to speak up against inequity and risk being unpopular—but equal pay matters for us all."

Hillary knows from experience, too. Her campaign website describes her as "an unequivocal champion for equal pay," a topic she's touched on frequently throughout her presidential campaign thus far.

Like J-Law, Hillary has been a part of Lena's pro-equality newsletter, Lenny Letter. She sat down with the Girls star for a candid interview, during which she admitted she initially had reservations about marrying Bill Clinton!

"I was terrified about losing my identity and getting lost in the kind of wake of Bill's force-of-nature personality," she said. "I actually turned him down twice when he asked me to marry him. We were in England on a trip after law school graduation. He asked me to marry him. I said, 'You know, I can't say yes. I can't do that right now.'"

"And then, about a year later he asked me again, and I said 'No.' He said, 'Well, I'm not asking you again until you're ready to say yes,' " she went on. "And that was a large part of the ambivalence and the worry that I wouldn't necessarily know who I was or what I could do if I got married to someone who was going to chart a path that he was incredibly clear about."

Eventually, though, she came around. "It was a big leap of faith, and I think most marriages are, "she told Lena. "I mean, you really do just sort of say, 'Okay, I think I know what it's gonna be like, but I don't know for sure. Let's find out.'"
