Watch: "Crimson Peak" Cast Dish on Favorite Scary Movies

We haven't seen Crimson Peak yet, but no matter. The trailers alone us giving us a major case of the creeps.

Tom Hiddleston plays a British aristocrat who brings his new American heiress wife (Mia Wasikowska) to live with him and his sister (Jessica Chastain) at the family's possibly haunted estate.

We caught up with the cast at the movie's premiere last night in New York City to get the lowdown on their favorite scary movies and more.

Chastain named "Dracula with Gary Oldman and Interview With a Vampire with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt" as two of her faves.

"I loved those movies," the Oscar nominee said.

Hiddleston recalled watching Jack Nicholson as the Joker in Batman and Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber in Die Hard and as Sheriff George of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

"There was always a part of me that rooted for the bad guy," Hiddleston said.

What truly scares these thespians?

"Politicians scare me!" Chastain said with a big laugh.

Hiddleston chimed in, "I'm more scared by sort of mass hysteria like human beings losing control of themselves and being careless and wreaking havoc. I think ultimately, human beings are the scariest things on earth—they can be!"

And who would the Crimson Peak stars like to give a little scare to in real life? Make sure to watch the video above to find out.

Crimson Peak is in theaters Oct. 16.
