Nearly three months after he checked out of rehab, the actor has been charged in his DUI case.

The Los Angeles District Attorney tells E! News that the 52-year-old actor has been charged with one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs, stemming from his June arrest for DUI in Beverly Hills

If convicted, the Fuller House star faces a maximum sentence of six months in county jail. An arraignment is schedule for tomorrow in Los Angeles.

Police pulled over Stamos on June 12 after receiving "numerous calls" about a possible drunk driver, a media release obtained by E! News said at the time. The actor, who was driving alone, was then transported to the nearby Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for observation "due to a possible medical condition."

At the hospital, he was placed under arrest for DUI once it was determined that he was under the influence.

One day after his arrest and hospitalization, Stamos tweeted his thanks to his fans, the hospital and the police department.

"Thanks to everyone for their love & support," the Grandfathered star wrote. "I'm home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care."

Just over one month later, a source confirmed to E! News that the actor checked into a residential treatment facility to seek help for substance abuse. He spent one month in treatment, and after, he revealed to fans he's feeling better than ever.

"I'm back! Took a month to take care of things. Healthy. Feeling grateful for the love & support of family & friends," he wrote

Weeks later, the erstwhile ER star opened up about his personal life in a candid interview with Details magazine.

"I've had a rough year with my mom dying, so it all came to a head, and it was a turning point," the actor explained. "You either continue on that path—and some of it's fun, but a lot of it's not—or there's this other thing, this golden opportunity sitting there with all this work and all this goodwill that you have going for you. That's the key. I feel better than I've felt in a decade.

He added, "It's not as much fun, but you have to be responsible. It's about discipline, which I lost for a while. Part of being undisciplined for the past five or six years is that I didn't work as much as it looked like. I had some high-profile jobs, like a Super Bowl commercial or a few episodes of Glee, but there was a lot of downtime, and that can be, obviously, dangerous."
