The royal couple announced the exciting news on Facebook, where they shared a gorgeous black-and-white photo of themselves and added that they should expect their little bundle of joy in April 2016.
"We are so happy and excited to announce that we are expecting our first child," they wrote in a statement. "We are very much looking forward to it."
The palace also revealed on Facebook that neither the prince nor the princess have changed their public appearance schedules during the fall season. The gorgeous newlyweds have been together for five years but made their love official in June in a jaw-dropping royal wedding in Stockholm. Before tying the knot, Princess Sofia was known as Sofia Hellqvist, a former reality star and glamour model.

There wasn't a sign of even the tiniest baby bump...yet, but we'll be keeping our eyes open! Sweden is in the middle of baby fever, as there's another Swedish royal who is expecting: Crown Princess Victoria, the 38-year-old future queen, is pregnant with her second child!
But she looked every bit a princess on her wedding day, channeling her inner Kate Middleton in a long-sleeved gown with a long train. The groom, a major in the Swedish navy and race car driver, wore a black military dress uniform.
After the ceremony, thousands of fans greeted the couple outside. They were then driven in a horse-drawn carriage through Stockholm before returning to the palace again for the wedding reception, Reuters reported.
"It shows Sweden is a warm country with lots of love," the prince said, per Reuters.
