Ronda Rousey may be the UFC women's bantamweight champion, but that doesn't protect her from the harsh words of her haters, particularly those who body shame her.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Rousey dished on her personal struggles with body image.

"I swear to God, if anyone calls me fat one more time in my life, I'm going to kill them," Rousey said with the utmost seriousness.

Though Rousey is now known for representing body confidence, she struggled with weight limits for judo tournaments in her teenage years—something that eventually led to bulimia.

She said she would wear zip-up jackets because, "I was afraid to show my big arms."

However, after it led her to becoming one of the greatest athletes in the world, she's learned to accept her body and appreciate it.

"If I can represent that body type of women that isn't represented so much in media, then I'd be happy to do that," Rousey told the Times, referencing her nude cover for ESPN the Magazine. "When women say that going on publications directed at men is somehow demeaning, I don't think that's true. I think that's one really effective way to change the societal standard women are held to."

Still, Rousey—who made headlines as the first female to cover Australia's Men's Fitness magazine last week—is constantly subjected to the pressure of weight loss in the industry.

In fact, the 28-year-old says she planned to lose weight for a commercial shoot she did in the past, but decided to do just the opposite thanks to someone's critical commentary about her body.

"Somebody said something really rude to me ,[so] I came into the shoot purposely way heavier," she reveals. "The campaign ended up being amazing, even though I was heavier just to make a point."

As for Rousey's idea of her perfect weight? 148 lbs. "That's like my favorite weight," she said—though she still likes to get a little bigger than that sometimes because she has to choose between the look of her abs and breasts. "You can't have both," she said.

Rousey notes that she adores Beyoncé and Rihanna's sense of style because, though they have different coloring, they all share the "same outline." She also hopes to work with Helmut Lang and Stuart Weitzman in the future—brands she says fit her body "so well."
