Has The Good Wife's Eli Gold met his match in Ruth Eastman? After getting pushed off the campaign by Peter Florrick in favor of Ruth, Eli clawed his way back into the thick of it by becoming Alicia's chief of staff. Both he and Ruth have all sorts of mischievous things in the works on The Good Wife and that makes for great comedy and performances from Alan Cumming and Margo Martindale.
In the exclusive clip above, Martindale's Ruth shows Cumming's Eli his new broom closet office. They just look like they're having the time of their lives, right? One sabotage begets another sabotage and Eli knows Ruth's in for a rude awakening when she books Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and her mother Veronica (Stockard Channing) on a mother-daughter cooking show. And there's wine involved? Did somebody say disaster?
"I had to ask Alan and Margo not to look at me during my close-up because I was crying laughing so hard," Margulies previously told E! News of the new pair. "It's a lot of fun."
"Cooked" also sees Alicia and Lucca (Cush Jumbo) teaming up again on a complicated case involving a designer drug dealer. Mary Beth Peil also returns as Jackie Florrick.
The Good Wife airs Sundays, 9 p.m. on CBS.
