And you thought The Flash's season two premiere was big! Well, that was nothing compared to episode two, "The Flash of Two Worlds," which not only explained everything you wanted to know about the DC Comics multiverse, but also introduced a new love interest for Barry, a new villain, a new Flash, enhanced powers for Cisco, showed us life on Earth 2, brought back a previously dead character, oh, and Iris' estranged mother returned to Central City just to say hello. Told you it was crazy!

You probably have a lot of questions about EVERYTHING—we certainly do—and the episode's writers, Aaron and Todd Helbing have some answers for you. Where should we start?!

Wait, that was Earth 2?

Not only did we learn that it exists, we actually caught a glimpse of it. We'll definitely be seeing more, the Helbings confirm. "I think since we introduce Earth 2, there's always a possibility we'll go there. Not necessarily early on but you'll see more of it, yes," Aaron says.

How much Harrison Wells will we see?

We knew that Tom Cavanagh was returning for season two, so it shouldn't have been too surprising to see his face, but still—it was pretty awesome to see the Earth 2 version of a character we loved to hate last year.

"If it were up to me I'd have Tom Cavanagh in every show," says Todd Helbing. "I think it's such a unique opportunity to have a character that everybody fell in love with and everybody hated at the same time and try to reinvent him in a different way. I think that was always the plan [to bring him back this way], it was just a challenge to figure out how to do that and have it be satisfactory."

When will Cisco become Vibe?

Though we caught a glimpse of the future Killer Frost in the season one finale, it's the development of Cisco as Vibe that we're going to see first. But Cisco is going to have a hard time coming to terms with his newfound powers.

"Wells gave this power to him and Wells was very evil so he's just a little freaked out," Todd says. "I think as the season goes on you'll start to see him deal with that problem of, ‘How do I tell these guys? When do I tell them?' And then sort of figure out this power that he has and how to control it more."

What the heck is Francine West doing back in Central City?!

Iris' mom (and Joe's ex-wife) is back in town, and Todd says that her motives for returning are simple. "She came back to see her daughter and reestablish this family that she once had." He adds, Iris obviously has this conception about her mother and her being away from her her whole life, and I'm sure you can imagine learning that is not the case can sort of turn your world upside down, so that's the jumping off point that she's going to be starting with."

But why did she come back now?

This answer is a little less helpful. "You'll find out," tease the Helbings (in unison).

And, finally: Is Victor Garber OK after collapsing?

"Victor's fine," teases Aaron. Alright, the actor himself is OK, but what is happening to his character after a scary collapse? " I think obviously with what happened to Ronnie he's missing a side of him that he's had for quite a while now and that's going to start to sneak up on him," Todd says.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW. What did you think about the episode? What other questions do you have?
