Shia LaBeouf is a strange dude, we already know that…but apparently that weirdness escalates quite a bit when he's drunk.

The 29-year-old actor was arrested in Austin, Texas, on Friday night for public intoxication. E! News has obtained the officer's testimony, recalling the bizarre encounter.

The affidavit states that LaBeouf was originally stopped for jaywalking with two other people across a busy street. As the officer approached the group, he says he noticed a "strong odor of an alcoholic beverage" emanating from the actor. The officer also says LaBeouf's speech was "slurred and thick tongued and his eyes were glassy and dilated."

As the officer and LaBeouf began talking, things got heated.

"He became increasingly confrontational, aggravated, profane and verbally aggressive with [the officer] throughout the stop, calling him a 'silly man' three times," according to the affidavit.

LaBeouf's anger escalated when he noticed a bystander filming the interaction, causing him to puff up his chest and approach the stranger in a "threatening manner." When the officer intervened, LaBeouf redirected his "verbal tirade" back to him, standing within two feet of him and puffing his chest up and down.

The Transformers star then claimed he was a member of the National Guard, yelling at the officer, "Do whatever the f—k you gotta do!"

He was arrested shortly thereafter and charged with public intoxication.

Following his arrest, he took to Twitter to share a series of cryptic tweets. "I talk, just not to you," he wrote in one tweet on Oct. 11. The following day he added, "Bombs away."

Then, on Tuesday, he wrote, "Paparazzi, paparazzi."

While it's unclear if these messages have anything to do with his arrest, the timing definitely suggests it as this is the first time he's tweeted since last month.

Earlier this year, LaBeouf made headlines for being disorderly during a Broadway showing of Cabaret. A week later it was confirmed that he was seeking treatment for alcohol addiction.
