Bindi Irwin is a delight. The 17-year-old Australian conservationist switched things up this week with temporary partner Val Chmerkovskiy, dancing the cha-cha to "Hold My Hand" by Jess Glynne. They received a score of 37 out of 40 from judges Julianne Hough, Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and guest judge Maks Chmerkovskiy, and both stars had to out of their comfort zones this week. For Bindi it was facing new dance challenges and for Val, well, his challenge was a little more slithering.

"I couldn't be a hypocrite; I talked to her all week about being fearless and conquering all these different challenges and the dances," he said about facing the anaconda. "I had to walk the walk."

"She's amazing. What you see is what you get. I was trying to have her crack and show her dark side, it never happened. But there's a lot more depth to her—it's not just 'Bindi's so cute.' Bindi's lighthearted, Bindi is passionate, Bindi is interesting, Bindi has an opinion on things," Val said about his temporary partner. "There are a lot of sides to her and I was felt very fortunate to get to know her better."

Bindi said the dance and switch-up was "really exciting." "I was kind of channeling a tiger and trying my best," she said.

In honor of the Switch-Up week, we let Bindi switch things up with E! News and interview Val. Watch the video above to see Bindi quiz Val on the difference between flat hats and snapbacks, and get to the bottom of just how many canary-yellow shirts Val has.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
