Some say love...is Amy Poehler and Jack Black performing a surprise duet.

The SNL veteran and Goosebumps actor surprised an audience during Tenacious D's third annual Festival Supreme in L.A. Saturday with an unexpected rendition of vocal icon Bette Midler's heart-wrenching "The Rose."

In a paisley flowing dress, fur vest, Aviator sunglasses, Poehler took the stage with a cigarette in hand to belt her heart out to the karaoke standard, taking lead vocals while Black backed the Sisters actress with pitch-perfect harmonies. While this may have originated as a comedic stunt, the pair certainly offered audience members a top-notch concert that would make Midler herself proud.

After all, this is not the first time time Poehler or Black have hit a note for the sake of comedy. There's no possible way we could forget his 2003 classic, School of Rock. As for the former Parks and Recreation star, she always finds an occasion to take the mic

Poehler hasn't been shy about sharing her affinity for the legendary showgirl, who shook the world with the powerful ballad back in 1979. The Inside Out actress spoke of her love for Midler during a speech she gave at the New York Restoration Project's 13th Annual Spring Picnic in 2014.

"So, I first met Bette Midler in my head when I watched the film The Rose in 1979. And since then, her and I have been best friends, in my head," Poehler said. "In my head, she and I travel together, we have cut an album, and we pranked George Clooney," Poehler said during the speech.

"She's the godmother to the children of mine that she has never met, and once, Bette turned to me in a dream and said, 'Amy, you are the most talented person I've ever met. I hate to say this, this kills me, but you're more talented than me. God bless you and I release you to God,' and then she turned into a million doves and flew away."

Midler hasn't publicly commented on Poehler's performance...yet.
