Watch: Is a Backstreet Boys & Spice Girls Tour Really Happening?

Are they or aren't they?!

Fans of The Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys have been hanging at the edge of their seat today after getting word that these two mega-groups from the '90s might be going on tour together.

Rumors surrounding a possible joint venture hit the Internet earlier today, so when E! News' Sibley Scoles stopped by Nick Carter's Dancing With the Stars rehearsals today, she made sure to get the scoop.

"I actually did a little Twitter shout-out to Mel B. because we're friends and I said, ‘Hey this could be a cool idea. What if we did a Backstreet Boys-Spice Girls tour?'" Carter began.

"And there were talks in the past about it and we had done the New Kids [on the Block] and Backstreet Boys tour in the past. I think this would be that last hurrah—the two big groups from the late ‘90s. Maybe do a world tour, stadiums, stuff like that and do a package together."

He concludes, "It's just an idea." So it's not a complete yes, but it's not a no! And clearly, Nick is totally up for it.

AJ McLean recently told Rolling Stone that the boy band has been flirting with the idea of touring with the girl group for a while now. "The Spice Girls tour has been this idea bouncing around for the past year and a half, and it's something we're still talking about," he said.

And as Carter mentioned, this has been swirling around the rumor mill for quite some time. Back in March 2014, Brian Littrell allegedly told The Sun that BSB is in "early talks" to do a world tour with Spice Girls (minus Victoria Beckham/Posh Spice, presumably).

It's clear people want this to happen, so let's get to it, yes?
