It's as easy as a hashtag!

The Treasury Department needs your help!

It's not often that the government actually asks for our opinion—especially on the issue of women's equality—so this opportunity should be treated like the special occasion that it is. Unfortunately Washington, D.C. isn't including us in the Planned Parenthood debate, but they are enlisting the public in choosing the new face of the $10 bill.

The final decision on the lucky lady to grace the money is expected at the end of the year, but for now the Treasury Department is making one last push for submissions and votes. They even went so far as to release a video featuring cabinet members (like Secretary of State John Kerry and Attorney General Loretta Lynch) begging (or, okay, maybe just asking) for your votes.

The video is titled "A Message on Currency Redesign," which is about as sexy a moniker as one can expect from the U.S. government. "This is a terrific, historic announcement," urges Kerry. "And it's a wonderful chance to highlight the remarkable contributions that women have made to our country and to honor our rich history of diversity." Okay, so it's not exactly flashy, but consider the source.

If those powerful words moved you to take action (and why wouldn't they?), there are few ways you can submit your ideas. The first is to visit the dedicated website and the second (and much more fun) option is to tweet with the hashtag #thenew10. It seems that the Twitterverse already has some great (and not-so-great) suggestions, spanning everyone from Beyoncé (obviously) to Amelia Earhart. But mostly the people want Beyoncé.

You can't argue with the majority, can you?
