A woman's Facebook post has gone viral after she went through a scary situation earlier this week on a London bus.

Kaitlyn Regehr, a writer and documentary filmmaker, was traveling alone when a man grabbed her.

Though a terrifying situation, which unfortunately happens all too frequently, Regehr's ordeal was witnessed by a Good Samaritan who spoke up and confronted the man.

Regehr detailed her story in the online post:

"To the man on the 207 buss towards Acton last night (the tall, dark, and dapper one with the beard),

Thank you for saying something when that man grabbed me. Thank you for insisting that it was not acceptable. Most of all, thank you for asking him about the women in his life, his mother, his sister... You said, "She could be your sister. She is someone's sister", and in doing so you made me a person. You made us a community.

I thank you not just because you stood up for me, or because you made me feel safe, but because on your transit home - in this big, potentially anonymous city - you humanised assault. You didn't turn away. You took a stand. You said something.

Because you were right. I am someone's sister. We all are. And us kids should all stand up for each other.

Sincerely, - The little blond chick in the hat on the 207 towards Acton.

Please, let's all endeavour to "say something", please share, and please help me find this awesome dude so I can buy him a pint!"

Thus far, Regehr's post has been shared over 30K times and has received 56K likes on Facebook.

Based on her posts to Twitter and other social media sites, it appears that Regehr is still seeking out the helpful gentleman, who spoke up and said something, to buy him that beer.

Her story has been shared across sites like Twitter and Reddit to get the word out.

We certainly hope Regehr gets to grab that pint with the do-gooder who took a stand to show this type of assault is definitely "not acceptable."
