Listen up, frumpy donkeys!

Halloween is just around the corner, and there's only one thing you're allowed to be this year, according to house rules: a Chanel.

The Chanels are both the hottest and the scariest things around, so despite the fact that you probably lack the mental capacity and perfect sense of color coordination required to emulate a Chanel's expert style and sophistication, you may as well still try in an effort to totally slay this Halloween.

So, in an effort to help you (and ourselves, because who are we kidding?), we went to the show's set in New Orleans and got the scoop on everything it takes to become a Chanel from some of the people who know best.

Of all the shows on TV, Scream Queens may be the one with the most ready-made Halloween costume possibilities, all thanks to the insane eye for style of Emmy-nominated costume designer Lou Eyrich. Eyrich is the woman behind both the designer duds of KKT and Ryan Murphy's other current show, American Horror Story. She's responsible for the wardrobe of nearly every Ryan Murphy character, from Rachel Berry to Sister Jude to the incomparable Chanel Oberlin.

With help from wardrobe stylist Lauren Bott, makeup artist Melissa Buell, and hair stylist Jennifer Johnson, the Chanels come alive every week with ridiculous(ly amazing) looks that we couldn't have put together ourselves if our live depended on it.

Now, we might just be able to pull off a close approximation, thanks to all of their fantastic tips.

Check out E! News tonight at 7 and 11 p.m., where we take you inside the wardrobe closet of all the Chanels, and spill lots of secrets from the set.
