When it comes to the rules of the road, Keanu Reeves and Jimmy Kimmel are serious aficionados.

In the pair's newest film trailer together, which debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday night, the Knock Knock actor and late-night talk show host star as dueling characters facing off in the car chase of a lifetime.

"You think you can catch me?" a grungier tattooed Kimmel with an interesting unibrow and asymmetrical hair cut threatens as he prepares to make his grand getaway after stealing a briefcase full of cash.

"I don't think. I know!" Reeves screams back from his red convertible Camaro.

The momentum builds, the music heightens, and the camera angle widens as we prepare to watch these Hollywood greats battle it out in what the narrator hails as the first movie "ever produced by the California Highway Patrol."

"We're now cutting into a live feed from Chopper One," a news anchor announces as the program shares a breaking news feed of  the two cars driving curiously under the speed limit, allowing even a skateboarder to zoom past them. "It's a low speed chase on Hawthorne Avenue."

Uh-oh! They're approaching a speed bump—what ever will they do?

"Slow down. 20 is plenty!" Keanu cautions as Kimmel prepares to get over the hump. Spoiler alert: he passes with flying colors and makes his grand getaway.

Not so fast, Mr. Kimmel. In a final scene fit to scare the cell phone out of any new teenage driver's hand, Kimmel whips his phone out to give his parting remarks to a now-downtrodden Reeves when all of the sudden, his car is slammed off the road by a bus while crossing an intersection.

"Never talk and drive," Keanu warns with smoldering eyes into the camera.

While this was clearly meant to be a spoof of fast-car film enterprises, we can't help but think it would make the perfect public service announcement. You go, guys!
