The countdown to Confident continues!

Ahead of her highly anticipated album's Oct. 16 release, Demi Lovato performed "Stone Cold" live in studio and shared the video via YouTube channel Wednesday.

"Hope you guys like!!!" the 23-year-old singer tweeted.

Lovato has high hopes for the song. "I want the Grammy committee to hear it so that one day they can see that I know that I'm capable of getting there. I just want people to see it finally," she recently told Complex. "When I say getting there, I don't mean winning one. I just want to be nominated for one." According to the pop princess, "You can't go higher than the Grammys in the music industry. That was a huge goal for this album. I watched the Grammy nominations last year and I was like, 'I want to be there so bad.' It really gave me that kick in the ass to make music that was worthy of it. This is a song that I feel like is worthy of notification."

"Everything in my entire singing career—all of the guitar lessons, all of the voice lessons, all of the songs that I wrote when I was 8 years old, when I was 15, writing six songs a night, all of the touring—would be worth it. It's literally everything," the "Give Your Heart a Break" singer adds. "It's like the Olympics for an athlete."

Lovato's fifth album will feature "sexy songs," like its lead single, "Cool for the Summer. "But the ones that ended up making the album are very soulful," she told Entertainment Weekly. The new songs will reflect Lovato's fearless attitude. "I feel very secure in who I am as an artist and as a person. I never write songs that are about things I don't relate to. I won't be able to sing it if I don't mean it."

The singer will release a music video for "Confident" Friday.
