Hey girl, want to meet your new TV boyfriend? Then feast your eyes on Alexander Dreymon, who stars as a young warrior named Uhtred who fights for his country in BBC America's new original series, The Last Kingdom.

The eight-part show chronicles the birth of England through the eyes of Ninth Century fighter Uhtred, a Saxon orphan raised by Vikings at the dawn of Great Britain's history—who gets shirtless a bunch in the exclusive sneak peek footage E! News gotten ahold of ahead of the premiere.

"Our ancestors took this land and it has been strengthened with our blood and bone. You will die for it if needed," Uhtred is told, and apparently he totally takes that to heart as he determines where his allegiance lies—with his birthright or with the Vikings who raised him—as King Alfred the Great works to unite the many kingdoms that will eventually become England.

Sure, it's a period piece, but a hot shirtless dude translates well no matter the century. Plus, it's chock full of interesting historical information, so your ogling of hot dudes is, like, really educational.

Dreymon's sporting a little more facial hair in the Last Kingdom sneak peek than in his last TV gig, but you might recognize him as the sexy next-door neighbor, Luke, from American Horror Story: Coven.

The Last Kingdom, which was based on Bernard Cornwell's bestselling Saxon Stories book series, premieres Saturday, Oct. 10 at 10 p.m. on BBC America. Episode two will be available on demand immediately after the premiere ends.
