It's splittsville for Ryan Seacrest and Ellen K

The media mogul's longtime On Air with Ryan Seacrest co-host has officially announced that she is leaving the show after 11 years of gabbing with celebrities and entertaining listeners.

"For over a decade, I've had the privilege to co-host On Air with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS FM," she said in a statement. "It's been an amazing ride, and I'm extremely grateful."

But, don't cry for Ellen K just yet—she's been offered what some may consider the opportunity of a lifetime.

"I am also thrilled to announce that my new adventure will be on the legendary KOST FM hosting my own morning show-The Ellen K Morning Show on KOST 103.5. The listeners, along with the hard working KOST staff, will make hosting this show a dream job."

While K doesn't officially assume her new post at KOST until Oct. 19th at 6:00am, her future boss is already singing her praises.

"Ellen's personality and life experience make her extremely relatable to the adult KOST audience, and she will bring a real sense of personal connection for the listeners to the morning show at KOST," said Andrew Jeffries, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia.

Still, the blonde beauty with "one of the most recognizable voices in radio" will be sorely missed by her On Air family, especially by Seacrest himself.

The American Idol host took to Twitter to pay tribute to his longtime right-hand woman, writing "my life coach, my confidant, my rock…my cohost of 11 years @OfficialEllenK is leaving @onairwithryan :(" along with a collage of the duo during some of their wackiest moments. Aw, Ry. We're tearing up.

While the opportunity may be bittersweet, K seems to be very optimistic as she starts this new professional chapter. So, what can we expect from this next hosting venture? For starters, she will still be filling our airwaves every morning.

"I am looking forward to continuing my interaction with Southern California listeners in a positive & informative way with great music, great prizes, fun topics and more," she continued in the statement. "Thank you in advance SoCal - for letting me be a part of your mornings on KOST!!!"
