Betcha didn't expect to cry so darn much while watching the season two premiere of The Flash! But it was a sobfest from start to finish, as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) tried to come to terms with the catastrophic events of the season one finale. Namely, all the lives lost when the Singularity struck Central City—and then they lost another member of the Flash team.

We probably should've expected the tears after the ugly cry sesh that was the season one finale, when we said goodbye to an ultra-heroic Eddie (Rick Cosnett), but no. Somehow, over the summer, we forgot what a flood of emotions any given episode of The Flash can be. Below, if you've seen the episode, join us to mourn the latest addition to The Flash's ever-growing list of fallen heroes.

It's true: The always noble Ronnie (Robbie Amell) sacrificed him for the good of humanity and stuff, dying for real this time. Maybe. "We obviously love Robbie. He's amazing as Firestorm," dishes Todd Helbing, co-writer of next week's episode. But we might not have seen the last of him. Adds co-writer Aaron Helbing, "We're in The Flash, so anything's possible. There's Earth 2, There's the multiverse. There's always the possibility to see Ronnie come back."

But his absence will be felt for a while to come, especially for Victor Garber's Martin Stein. "Obviously, what happened with Ronnie, he's missing a side of him that he's had for quite a while now," Todd Helbing says, "and that's going to start to sneak up on him."

While we'll have to resort to the occasional Google search to feast our eyes on Robbie's hotness (or watch him on the X Files reboot in January!), there's a new hero in town. Teddy Sears arrived as Jay Garrick, a.k.a. The Flash (yes, another one), to basically be like, "Barry Allen, you in danger, girl!" and warn the gang of the evil villain with his eyes set on destroying The Flash. We're about to learn a whole lot more about that next week.

Other major developments we must discuss immediately: WTF is going on with Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and his visions. Or vibrations, riiiiight? (He's finally about to embark on the path toward becoming Vibe!) Oh, and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) were back to mess things up for Barry yet again. Always good/bad to see those guys. (Good 'cause they're fun, bad 'cause they're messing things up in Central City.)
