File this under "M" for "Most touching news you'll hear all week."

We mean it when we say we started to tear up after we heard how this wounded veteran's service dog stood as the best man in his wedding. Whoever is cutting onions around us right now needs to stop...

Justin Lansford, who lost a leg in an IED blast while serving in Afghanistan, chose his loyal service dog, Gabe, to be by his side as he said his I-dos, as no other option made sense.

So, sporting a vest that looked like a military dress-uniform studded with service badges, Gabe stood with the wedding party as the former U.S. Army soldier married his high-school sweetheart, 25-year-old Carol Balmes.

"Justin and I went to high school together and worked at a restaurant together but we were just friends in high school. We reconnected in 2011 when we started dating," Balmes tells E! News. As for how Lansford connected with his canine pal?

"Justin met Gabe when I was working for Warrior Canine Connection, the organization that Gabe is from. They asked if Justin was interested in a service dog because they had one ready to graduate and thought their personalities would match well. When they met, Gabe rolled around and wiggled and cried like he had known Justin his whole life and they were instantly bonded."

Balmes adds that, "Gabe helps Justin mostly in physical ways. He can pick up items Justin drops, opens doors, gets drinks out of the fridge if Justin has his leg off and can't get up. He also has a brace command where he can help Justin get up off the floor if he falls or help him as a hand rail if he's going down stairs and there is no hand rail."

If that doesn't make you reach for a box of tissues, then this will—Gabe even helped with the proposal. The lovable fuzzball carried in his mouth the engagement ring box and brought it to Balmes when her then-boyfriend popped the question last year. Gabe even had a GoPro strapped to his collar to capture the moment. Talk about a full-service dog!

Can we clone Gabe for ourselves? We're in desperate need of an adorable, photo-taking, wedding-loving cuddle bug too.

If we can't clone him, does anyone know a cat-trainer who can teach our beloved (but lazy) feline to fetch us a drink? Call us!
