We all got really excited when Emma Watson was photographed with a "new mystery man" out and about in Los Feliz, Calif., earlier this week.

As it turns out, his name is Roberto Aguire, and while he's not all that new or mysterious, he is an interesting and handsome fella!

Roberto, 27, met Emma, 25, while filming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. "I was doing an internship in the special effects department at the time," he recalled to JustJaredJr.com back in 2012, "and one day we had a chance encounter that lead to us spending half a day together exchanging stories and dance moves. We never really lost touch after that and now she's one of my best friends."

Friends, guys—just friends. In any case, Roberto (an actor himself) goes way back with the Regression star! So who is he? Here are 5 things you need to know about Emma's longtime pal.

1. He's Worldly: As Roberto tells LatiNation in the YouTube video above, he's originally from Mexico, grew up mostly in Switzerland, and lived in L.A. for a few years during his childhood as well. He considers himself "a third culture kid," explaining, "It's where your parents are a certain culture, you relate mostly to a different culture, and then you grew up in a place that's neither of those two cultures...[and] the cool thing about it, is you fit anywhere."

2. He's Multi-Talented: Roberto's talents extend behind the camera, too! Acting in 2012's Struck by Lightning "was nothing short of amazing," he told JustJaredJr.com, adding that his "experience as a producer was just as fantastic."

"The great thing about being a producer on a project is that you get to see the ins and outs of every piece of the puzzle," he said. "There are so many elements involved in every aspect of a film's development that I don't think the average person is aware of, which is I guess why the whole process is referred to as movie magic."

3. He Worked With Robin Williams on the Late Star's Final Film: The two were co-stars in Boulevard. Roberto tweeted the photo above of the pair and the film's director Dito Montiel in July 2014, one month before Robin took his own life. On the 1-year-old of Robin's death, Roberto posted a heartfelt tribute, tweeting, "No words can encapsulate your genius, and no adjectives can touch your greatness. Miss you boss. #RobinWilliams"

4. He's Transformative: For his role in Boulevard, Roberto set out to lose 30 pounds. He "ultimately lost 35 pounds," he told Icon Versus Vision. "At that point, your body is so starved of anything that you are not really function on any sort of higher plane! [laughs] Your body is just in survival mode where it is going on instinct. That feed into the behavior of the character, where this kid is basically living on instinct. He is not able to respond the way anybody in their right mind would be able to respond."

In an interview with Huffington Post Latino Voices, Roberto explained he hoped his role in Boulevard, "is able to open a door for me to say, 'I'm a Latino actor and I can be a chameleon, I can be anything you want me to be.'"

5. He's a Good Guy: He regularly tweets sweet and supportive things about his parents and younger sister, seems to be a big fan of Disney movies, and even acknowledges when he takes a "shameless selfie". And even though Emma and Roberto are just friends, he couldn't be any more supportive.

On her birthday, he tweeted, "Happy Bday to one of the most amazing, kindest, and beautiful people I know. You mean the world to me."

Aw, we wouldn't mind if Roberto ended up pulling a Ron Weasley.
