It's not easy to shock Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, but former Bachelor and Bachelorette star Bob Guiney managed to do just that!
On Tuesday during Today's Fourth Hour, the "Guys Tell All" panelist just nonchalantly noted at the beginning of a segment, "I'm actually engaged now."
After Kathie Lee and Hoda exclaimed "WHAT" in unison, Bob, 44, explained that he got engaged on Labor Day Weekend. It's true, too—his fiancée, Jessica Canyon, Instagrammed a photo of the happy couple post-proposal four weeks ago.
Kathie Lee worried out loud whether Bob would "lose all [his] charm" now that he's headed for the aisle. He quickly reassured her that would not be the case, adding jokingly, "I've been engaged a lot."
He's kidding—mostly. Bob was a divorcé when he appeared on The Bachelorette's first season back in 2003. Trista Sutter (née Rehn) picked Ryan Sutter, of course, but Bob got another chance at love when he was the Bachelor in season four.
The Michigan native was careful not to dive into anything too quickly, though. He gave a final rose and a promise ring to Estella Gardinier—but he didn't ask for her hand in marriage. The promise ring indicated they would still date after the show wrapped, but, well, you know how these things go...
In 2004, Bob went on to marry former All My Children actress Rebecca Budig. The pair divorced amicably in 2010.
