During a guest appearance on MSNBC Live With Tamron Hall, the "Cool for the Summer" crooner explained that she's fed up with the public rushing to conclusions about the shooter's mental well-being.
"Unfortunately, we've had several instances where mental health has been brought to the attention by the media because of these tragedies," she opened by saying.
"I think it's really important to remember that actually mental health—people with mental illness are actually more likely to inflict harm on themselves and become the victim rather than be the perpetrators."
Lovato also shared more about how she's been urging Congress to focus on the national initiative Be Vocal: Speak Up For Mental Health—a cause that clearly holds a special place in her heart.
And when she wasn't busy making the rounds on political daytime talk shows, the former Disney darling dropped a little teaser for her upcoming "Confident" music video.
Between the groups of fans and the catchy track, we're certain it's a safe bet to predict that this will be another smash hit from Lovato!
