Ariel Winter is young, in love and feeling oh-so-confident!

While stepping out Friday night for Teen Vogue's 13th Annual Young Hollywood Issue Launch Party, the Modern Family star brought along a special someone that she couldn't help but gush over. Yes, we're talking about boyfriend Laurent Claude Gaudette.

"It's really great to be in love with someone who is so great and so supportive," she told E! News exclusively. "We met in high school. He was someone that I wanted to get to know and then I did."

In fact, Winter admits she totally initiated a conversation via text message months and months ago. Fast-forward to today and the duo is red carpet (and high school prom) pros!

Before enjoying the event that included Sarah Hyland, Victoria Justice, Kaia Gerber and Shaun Ross in attendance, Winter also opened up to E! News about her recent breast reduction surgery. Back in August, the 17-year-old revealed to Glamour.com that she decided to follow through with the surgery partly because of being ridiculed and suffering from neck and back pain.

"It's an amazing feeling to feel confident in myself and in my own skin, wearing what I wanted, putting on a bikini and not feeling like I was going to walk around and everyone was going to be staring being like, 'Are you serious?' I feel like a new person," she shared. "I'm able to finally be happy."

She continued, "My fans are always so honest with me. Why not be honest with them? I thought it would help start a conversation."

Looking ahead, Winter has a new project on her horizons that doesn't involve TV sets or filming. Instead, it's all about dorm rooms and school books as the college admission process continues.

While she isn't ready to share her top school and jinx herself, she does have some universities in mind.

"Here's the thing, I really love Georgetown and also really love UCLA," she admitted. "There's so many amazing universities out there. It's a debate, California or go out of state."
