Mother's Day is a dramedy featuring stories of many mothers. Roberts' character in the film is named Miranda.
Aside from the actress, who is a parent to 10-year-old twins in real life, the cast includes Jennifer Aniston, Britt Robertson, Kate Hudson, Hilary Duff, Sarah Chalke, Shay Mitchell, Margo Martindale, Timothy Olyphant and Jason Sudeikis. The film is set for release on April 29, 2016.
Meryl Streep famously played a fashion magazine editor, which many viewers have likened to Wintour, in the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada. The actress and Roberts co-starred in August: Osage County as a mother and daughter.
