Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green really do seem to be doing their best to remain amicable exes.

On Tuesday, the pair reunited in Toluca Lake, Calif., where according to onlookers they spent some time with their older son Noah as well as with Brian's parents.

It's been over a month since the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star, 29, filed for divorce from the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 42. Per court documents, the longtime loves actually separated on June 15 of this year, but when news of their split broke this August, many fans were quite shocked.

That's probably because the twosome, who first met on the of sitcom Hope & Faith, had always been so outspoken about their love for one another. Megan, for example, spoke to Cosmopolitan magazine's August 2014 issue about how strong her and Brian's relationship was, saying, "I don't want to be boastful and say that we would never divorce, but I can't imagine a scenario we couldn't work through."

Obviously something must have changed that dynamic, but what? A source close to the former couple told People the split "is a classic Hollywood story of two people in different stages of life and career," adding, "Megan is young and hot and sought after for work, and she is eager to move ahead in her career. Brian wants more of her time than she can allow."

One thing that's clear, though, is that both Megan and Brian are committed to their two sons: Noah, 2, and Bodhi, 20 months. (Brian also has a 13-year-old son, Cassius, from a previous relationship.) Both parents have requested joint custody of the boys and seem to be putting on a united front to do what's best for their boys.
