Congratulations are in order for Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black!

The Olympic diver, 21, and the Oscar-winning Milk screenwriter, 41, announced their engagement in the births, marriages and deaths section of The Times Thursday, the same way Benedict Cumberbatch chose to announce his engagement to his now-wife, Sophie Hunter, in November 2014. Daley and Black's simple announcement read: "The engagement is announced between Tom, son of Robert and Debra Daley of Plymouth, and Lance, son of Jeff Bisch of Philadelphia and Anne Bisch of Lake Providence." According to The Times' website, the engagement announcement would have cost Daley and Black about £200.

Details surrounding the proposal were not immediately available.

The couple began dating in the summer of 2013.

Daley first discussed his sexuality via a YouTube video in December 2013. At the time, he said he was in a relationship, though he did not name Black. "In spring this year, my life changed massively when I met someone, and they make me feel so happy, so safe and everything just feels great. That someone is a guy. It did take me by surprise a little bit. It was always in the back of my head that something like that could happen. But it wasn't until spring this year that something just clicked," said Daley, who won two gold medals for England at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal for England at the 2012 Olympic Games. "It felt right and I thought, 'OK.' And my whole world changed there and then."

Daley said he was still interested in girls at the time, but in 2014, the athlete announced that he is gay. "I came out on YouTube as I wanted to say what I wanted to say without anyone twisting it. I told my family before I told the world. I was terrified. I did not know what the reaction was going to be," he said. "I did it on YouTube because people were constantly digging and asking questions."

The couple moved in together in London in May 2015.

In June, Daley said he was eager to settle down with Black and start a family. "I would like to get married. Of course, I'd like to have children, too," he told BuzzFeed, adding, "I grew up with two brothers, so I'd like to have at least three."

Congratulations to the happy couple!
