Despite the fact that Priyanka Chopra is one of ABC's new leading ladies as the star in the highly-anticipated series Quantico, the network still managed to mistake her for another Indian actress.

During a promo for an upcoming interview with Chopra on Nightline, they used a photo of fellow Indian actress Yukta Mookhey winning Miss World in 2009. Chopra won Miss World in 2010.

Twitter immediately blew up with news of the mishap, criticizing the network for the mistake, but Chopra took the whole thing in stride.

"Lol!" she tweeted in response to one of the posts.

Ironically, the Nightline story is titled "How 'Quantico' Star Priyanka Chopra Dealt With Race Issues" and focuses on the 33-year-old actress' racial bullying and prejudice throughout her life.

ABC quickly issued an apology and corrected the promo. "Our sincerest apologies @priyankachopra . Here is the corrected story," they tweeted with a link to the updated version.

Chopra responded politely, "Thank you for the correction @Nightline."

Aside from the minor blunder, the interview puts Chopra in a positive light, allowing viewers to get to know ABC's new It Girl and really diving into the racial issues she's faced.

"I had some major racist issues when I was in school, and it really got to me," she explains. But it didn't just stop with schoolyard bullying.

Chopra later became the voice for Thursday night football with the NFL, and being a foreign face for a very American sport, the racist comments never really ceased.

"There was a lot of these terrorist comments that called me an 'Arab terrorist.' I was offending on two accounts: one, why is every Arab a terrorist? And second of all, how am I an Arab? I'm  Indian."

She eventually came to the conclusion, "Haters gonna haters… Who cares? I think I've been a famous person long enough to know that you can't please everyone."

However, she still longs for people to see beyond her race. In fact, Chopra says she was drawn to the role of Alex Parrish in Quantico because her skin color was never written into the script.

"She was ethnically ambiguous," she says. "I want to be taken seriously as an actor and not for the color of my skin."

Either way, she's here to stay.  "They say America is the land of dreams, and I've come here with wanting to be the best that I can be."

Quantico airs Sundays on ABC.
