Olympic gold medalist and former Dancing With the Stars champ Shawn Johnson can now put one big check mark next to a very important to-do on her wedding checklist: She's picked a dress designer!
The 23-year-old has officially chosen Nashville based Olia Zavozina to make her a custom gown for her upcoming nuptials to Andrew East!
E! News just caught up with Zavozina, who told us the meeting "was fantastic!" The designer and bride-to-be had "an instant connection" as they discussed her look for the big day.
Johnson is looking for something "timeless, unique, and different, but at the same time be something that she can look back at those pictures 20 years from today, and say, 'Wow, I made the right choice!'" Zavozina shared.
The dress is being tailor-made just for Johnson, with Zavozina adding, "We're good to go! We're working on the design process for her. We just did the first sketches, and she loves it!"
The designer is looking to create something that can be transformed between the ceremony and the reception, when all a newlywed wants to do is kick off her heels and dance, but that's all the details she care share right now until the big day!
The custom dress will take three to five months to finish—and we can't wait to see it!
