John Stamos may play a grandpa on television, but he can still bang a drum as good as Uncle Jesse.

The 52-year-old Grandfathered star took the stage Saturday night alongside the Beach Boys for some good 'ol nostalgic fun at the L.A. County Fair in Pomona, California.

The dark-haired crooner made his way over to a set of drums to play percussion, sing back up vocals, and later play guitar along to some of the group's many classics, including "Kokomo" and "Barbara Ann." Stamos, we'd go to Kokomo with you any day of the week.

Stamos made it clear he enjoyed his big return to the stage, later tweeting, "What a happy night!"

When we spotted the television hunk, we were certainly smiling!

As for stage freight, we can bet Stamos has little to none. He's been performing with the group sporadically since 1985, appearing in their music video for Kokomo, singing the lead vocals on their track "Forever," joining the group in two episodes of Full House and even playing with them on an episode of ABC's Dancing with the Stars. He's practically an honorary Beach Boy.

In addition to his surprise musical ventures, the future Fuller House star is making his debut in FOX's highly-anticipated new sitcom, Grandfathered, on Tuesday night. Also starring Josh Peck, the show bills Stamos in the leading role of Jimmy Martino, a 50-something bachelor whose life quickly comes crashing down on him as the son he never knew he had walks right into his kitchen—carrying his grandson.

In one foul swoop, his life disintegrates and Martino is left to pick up the pieces—a task for which Stamos has already been hailed for in the press.

The camera already loves him—we hope his new audience does, too.
