He might be the former president of the United States, but for baby Charlotte, Grandpa Bill Clinton will never be too busy to go trick-or-treating.
During an exclusive interview with E! News, Chelsea Clinton revealed she and husband Marc Mezvinsky already have their first daughter's Halloween costume all picked out.
"She's going to be a lady bug," the 35-year-old new mom told Maria Menounos. "Maybe my dad could be a gardener or something." We're already imagining the photos!
Having just celebrated her first birthday, 1-year-old Charlotte is no stranger to Halloween attire. Bill Clinton told E! she dressed up on the holiday for the first time last year as an infant.
"She was barely a month old and Chelsea put her in a bumble bee outfit," he said. (Sounds as though Charlotte may have a penchant for insects...)
As for Charlotte's garden partner, Clinton confirmed that, if his granddaughter wants him to take part in Halloween festivities, he will happily oblige.
"If Charlotte wants me to go trick-or-treating with her, I will."
Trick-or-treating is just one example of the childhood activities Clinton and his wife, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, have been revisiting since the birth of their first grandchild. It's clear Clinton is adapting quite well to his new title.
"It's pretty great to be a grandfather, to have somebody who recognizes you, who's starting to speak, who loves to play with you, who makes you young again. I love it," he gushed.
While he's done everything from playing high school saxophone to brokering peace accords, Bill Clinton has discovered newfound amazement reliving childhood moments through Charlotte's eyes.
"Since Hillary and I have one child, it's been a long time since I watched a baby wake up to the world and for me, it's endlessly fascinating," he said.
Despite being only a year old, Charlotte already has had a profound effect on her influential grandparents, who both feel a greater sense of responsibility for future generations of Americans who will inhabit the world they are helping to shape now.
"I think my mom, if possible, is even more committed this time [in her campaign]," Chelsea Clinton said of Hillary. "I think being a grandmother, which is something she talks a lot about, has just kind of given even greater energy to her race because she feels even more responsible for the future, because she has a granddaughter now in the future."
Bill Clinton echoed the same sentiment. "I feel a greater urgency than ever before to leave her the best possible world to grow up in, and yet I also feel a lot of gratitude every day. I keep telling people all the time I have no good political judgment anymore because I'm not mad at anybody. I knew everybody's so mad today and everything. Not me. I'm just trying to figure out how to make something good happen."
And Chelsea's celebrating another major milestone in her life, the release of her first book! It's Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired & Get Going! is a passion project that the new mother has been working on for quite some time.
"Someone asked me if I wrote the book and I said, 'Of course I wrote the book! It has my name on it!' and I realized exactly kind of the epiphany that you had, and if I'm going to be accountable for something, I'm going to be accountable," she told us.
"I hope this book has the same impact on kids today as the book I read called 50 Simple Things Kids Can Do to Save the Earth had on me because that will make me very proud, and I wouldn't share that if I hadn't actually done the work."
