First loves never die.

If you watched the Golden Globe Awards, you know that there is some tension between two of Hollywood's most beloved people: Amy Poehler and Tom Hanks. But in case you forgot, here's a reminder of the name-pronunciation faux pas that started their fictional feud.

"Congratulations to all the wonderful actors nominated tonight," Poehler said during the monologue. "From the amazing Chiwetel Ejiofor to the stunning Lupita Nyong'o to American treasure Tam Honks. Dammit, I knew I was going to screw that up."

Hanks reacted hilariously, giving the Parks and Recreation actress a confused look and saying, "Really?"

Almost two years later, Tom addressed his fight with Poehler during Entertainment Weekly's Tumblr conversation, in which fans could pose questions to the Cast Away star.

"Were you really that mad when Amy Poehler called you 'Tam Honks' in the 71st Golden Globe Awards?" an anonymous Tumblr user asked.

And that's when Hanks dropped his bomb, or rather, a wonderful piece of fan fiction.

"I haven't spoken to Amy since we broke up in the ‘80s. We shared a small apartment in Eagle Rock for about six months. Before I met Rita, of course," he explained.

Their romance quickly soured because of their inherent—ahem—differences.

"Amy didn't like my dog, and she stole some of my good records when she moved out (without so much as a goodbye)," Hanks continued. "I'm happy for her success, but would not walk across the street to say hello to May Epolher, as I know her."

Before signing off from the Internet chat, Hanks left Poehler a message: "So long, and Amy, you owe me Running on Empty by Jackson Brown and The Who Live at Leeds."

No word on whether or not the Inside Out actress returned the records, but rest assured these two don't actually hate each other. "I listened to Tom Hanks' performance in Toy Story because it was like, how do you play a character like Woody, who I love and my kids love, that's like, 'Come on! Go get 'em!' without it driving you crazy?'" she told Access Hollywood. "I thought, 'What would Hanks do?'—like [I do with] most things."

Don't we all.
