It's been a little over four months since Haylie Duff gave birth to her precious daughter, Ryan, and she just opened up to E! News about how life has changed since her little girl's arrival.

We caught up with Duff at Baby 2 Baby and Huggies' kickoff event to raise support for National Diaper Need Awareness Week. Families who were receiving Baby 2 Baby donations participated in a baby sensory class at Kidville filled with music, bubbles and singing. Duff mingled with her fellow new moms, and snuggled with the adorable tots in attendance throughout the class.

The Real Girl's Kitchen host and lifestyle blogger tells E! News that the biggest surprise about motherhood was the fulfillment it brought.

"I don't think I was expecting to not miss the remnants of my old life, do you know what I mean?" Haylie said. "There was part of me, even when I was pregnant, that was like, 'Gosh it would be nice to go to Vegas for the weekend,' or kind of do the things I normally did before I came a mother. I think that's probably the biggest surprise is I feel such fulfillment with my family and with my child, I don't miss that 'old life' stuff."

And she can't believe how time is flying! Ryan is "growing so fast, she just started rolling over for the first time," Haylie gushed.

Haylie and fiancé Matt Rosenberg have been so busy with their new bundle of joy, they haven't had a proper date out until Sunday night, for her sister Hilary Duff's birthday (officially Sept. 28).

"We went to Hawaii for a little family vacation with another couple, and we had a dinner there one night, but this was really like our first night, date night, going out," she explained. "My mom was there, and she was like, 'Haylie, you look so nice! You put makeup on today.'

"I was like, 'Thanks, I had to put a little makeup on and make him remember why he's with me, why he likes me,'" the 30 year-old joked. "[Matt] then leaned into my mom, and said, 'I think she needed to do it to remember why she likes herself, you know I'm happy to see her whichever way she is.' I will never forget that." Haylie even teared up a bit remembering the he's-a-keeper moment.

As far as finding more time for just the two of them, Duff admits, "I'm still trying to figure that out...I think you can make a date night at home just as special, as intimate and fulfilling as you can a night out on the town. Sometimes a good bottle of wine will do that."

Motherhood seems to suit Duff! She glowed as she talked about her new little family, and about the impact Baby 2 Baby and Huggies have on providing families in need of diapers for their little ones. During this week's National Diaper Awareness, for every tweet using the hash tag #GiveBack, Huggies Little Movers will donate diapers to Baby 2 Baby.

"To read the statistics about moms that can't provide diapers for their children, is devastating, and to be able to raise awareness for that is awesome and something I felt connected to," Haylie told us, her eyes welling up at the thought. "I'm sorry I'm so emotional about it, I'm such a new mom."

And a devoted one at that!
