It's going to be a very mean week.

Jimmy Kimmel put a spin on Jimmy Kimmel Live!'s recurring segment, "Mean Tweets," by asking famous stars to visit his studio and read a nasty comment that had been written about them online. "Twitter has made it easy for famous people to interact directly with their fans, which is nice, but it also makes it easy for people to tell you how much they hate you," the late-night host explained. "With that said, every night this week, a group of celebrities will be on the show to read their mean tweets to the studio audience." Actors Jeff Bridges, Kristen Bell and Benedict Cumberbatch kicked off "Mean Tweets Live."

Bridges was the first to participate, reading a message from someone named @Raven: "Am now convinced Jeff Bridges is a crazy f--ker and not in the cool way, just in a disturbed hobo shouting at sparrows and sidewalks way." He responded, "That's a very interesting critique. I will take it to heart."

Next up was Bell, who read @CUZNGEORGE's tweet: "Kristen Bell seems like such a bitch, her vagina is probably an Alcatraz for penis." Rather than say something, the actress winked and walked off the stage.

Finally, Cumberbatch read a tweet from @zaneey: "If you find Benedict Cumberbatch attractive, I'm guessing you'd also quite enjoy staring directly at a cats anus." The actor laughed it off at first, then said, "Well, someone did, and she put a ring on it." Cumberbatch ended by showing @zaneey his ring finger.
