Is Sofía Vergara ready to have gorgeous babies with her equally as gorgeous fiancé?

The 43-year-old Colombian Modern Family actress talked about Joe Manganiello, 38, and potential family plans with InStyle, which shows her looking chic and gorgeous in a sleeveless dark blue belted Jason Wu dress on the cover of its October 2015 issue.

"I'm really borderline at my age to do it," she said. "And if I'm going to do it, I would need a surrogate."

"I'll need help," she added. "But I don't mind it; it's fine."

Vergara is nearing the end of the time frame under which she would be able to conceive naturally or even via vitro fertilization using her own eggs, whose quality and quantity decline with age. Women in their late '30s are older are also more prone to developing complications such as high blood pressure and gestational diabetes while carrying a child.

In 2013, Vergara said she had had her eggs frozen. Earlier this year, it was revealed in a lawsuit filed by her ex-fiancé, Nick Loeb, that the two had undergone IVF in 2013 and had had embryos created from his sperm and her eggs implanted in a surrogate twice but that the pregnancies were unsuccessful. In his suit, he said the two had also had two embryos frozen for a future pregnancy. He claimed she wants them destroyed, which she denied, saying the two had signed an agreement under which no unilateral action for the embryos can be taken.

Vergara and Manganiello began dating in July 2014 and got engaged the following December. They met at the 2014 White House Correspondents' Dinner, where the actor was photographed checking out the actress' butt.

"I didn't want to go out with him for a long time because I thought he was too good looking," she told InStyle. "Like it's too much work, and I'm older. I'm 43 years old. I don't want to deal with a guy that every girl is after, you know?"

The actress echoed similar comments on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week.

"I realized he's not like a typical handsome guy," Vergara told InStyle. "He's not vain. He's very serious, very straightforward, very easy. Also, he doesn't drink. So that's great because he doesn't like to go out partying. And he can sit around a dinner table for hours with my family. He talks s--y and drinks Colombian coffee."
