Their feud is escalating!

After Richard Madden called Cara Delevingne "ungrateful" and "unprofessional" in an interview with Style magazine (via Yahoo! Lifestyle), the Paper Towns actress fired back on Twitter Tuesday night. Writing to him directly, the model-turned-actress posted, "@_richardmadden I have no idea who you are but I think it's little desperate for a grown man to be bad mouthing someone they don't know."

"@_richardmadden if you really want attention that badly," she continued, "try focusing on your own work and not other people's."

Shots fired.

Delevingne also retweeted a meme that a fan made that showed her giving the side eye. The picture was captioned, "Richard, what's good?"

Madden caught wind of her tweets and responded Wednesday morning, "Hi @Caradelevingne, nothing but respect for you. Misquoted and blown out of proportion. #SlowNewsWeek."

The fight began when the Cinderella star talked about Delevingne's viral interview with Good Day Sacramento, which showed her copping an attitude with the morning show hosts. To be fair, they were sassing her as well, telling her to "take a nap" and drink a Red Bull. But Madden told Style she should get used to repetitive questions while promoting a movie if she wants to be taken seriously as an actress.

"It was unprofessional," said Madden. "It made her seem ungrateful. She showed her age. For Cinderella, I did six weeks of those interviews, where you get asked the same eight questions."

The 29-year-old former Game of Thrones star also implied she should stick with her other career if she can't handle all of the interviews that come with being a movie star. "If you're not capable of doing it gracefully, then don't do it," he said.

Madden wasn't the only person who thought Delevingne should have handled herself a little better; some of the ladies on The View also said she should "suck it up!"

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Nicolle Wallace said in July. "When you're a famous movie star and you get to go on a local news show to promote a movie that people are paying $18 to go watch, you don't get to act like a bitch."

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You know, she's not a famous actress. She's a newbie," Whoopi Goldberg added. "She's not famous—no, honey, I'm famous," she added, pointing at herself, which drew loud cheers from the crowd. Raven-Symoné defended Delevingne and said everyone has a bad day.

Now that Madden has clarified his side of the story, maybe the fight will be put to rest.
