Watch: Andy Cohen Gives Update on Teresa Giudice

Let us tell you something about the Bravo family—they are thick as thieves.

Case in point: Real Housewives creator and face of the network Andy Cohen confirms to E! News that he's remained in frequent email contact with Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, who is currently in prison serving a 15-month sentence for fraud. Andy, who was added to Teresa's approved email list back in June of this year, tells us, "She seems to be doing well under the circumstances."

The boss man's emails may have an ulterior motive, however, as Andy admits his hopes for the troubled star once she's freed from the slammer. "I'm hoping to get her back in front of the cameras," he says. "That's how I would like to handle it."

While Teresa's return to the screen will take some time, the Garden State diva's family will be making a cameo of sorts on the Bravo airwaves with the three-part special, The Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Checks In. In the special, debuting Sunday, Oct. 11, at 8 p.m., cameras will follow Teresa's husband Joe Giudice and the couple's four daughters Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana as they adjust to life sans Mom. And while fans of Teresa may miss seeing the reality star, they'll be able to hear her voice as she makes her daily "check in" calls with the family.

"It's amazing how much she still controls everything from in there, you know what I mean?" Joe says in the trailer.

Looks like some things never change.

(E! and Bravo are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
