Is history repeating itself?
Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez dated in 2008, and over the summer, the two singers became the subject of romance rumors. The "Levels" singer downplayed the speculation in July, telling Capital FM's Max Akhtar that they had recently "ran into each other" and share mutual friends. In August, Jonas was seen talking to Gomez at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party, which only fueled the fire.
When their mutual friend Demi Lovato appeared on Capital FM Sunday, Akhtar replayed her interview with Jonas and asked if he should get back together with Gomez. "I'm Switzerland! I have no opinion on that! Listen, if I have an opinion on something, I'm gonna say it," the "Heart Attack" singer, 23, said. "I honestly don't have an opinion. I want him to be happy. I definitely want him to be happy."
If Gomez or any of her other friends asked for her to put in a good word with Jonas, would she? "People joke, but...I don't know. I don't really take it seriously because sometimes the people that are joking just really don't have a chance!" said Lovato, who is in a long-term relationship with Wilmer Valderrama. "But if somebody actually as like, 'Hey,' and I thought he would be into them, I would hook them up."
Lovato added, "He deserves the best."
For now, both Gomez, 23, and Jonas, 22, remain single.
During Lovato's promo tour in London, she also appeared on Alan Carr's Chatty Man show. The host recited a few lines from her hit single "Cool for the Summer" and asked the pop star if she is bisexual. "I'm not confirming and I'm definitely not denying," the singer said with a smile. "All of my songs are based off of personal experiences. I don't think there's anything wrong with experimentation at all."
