When the AMC hit returns, our group of survivors were holed up in Alexandria—and clashing with the residents there. The new season will see their safe haven endangered by multiple threats. That means the residents of the formerly peaceful town will have to take a second look at Rick's survival tactics, and the Grimes group will have to pause and take into account their fellow Alexandria residents' survival methods.
That split between the two factions will come into play as the season progresses, and in the end they might even have to protect themselves from a threat inside their boundaries. Oh, and from the surprising return of Morgan (Lennie James) in the season five finale.
"We're dealing with, as we were setting up last season, you've got Morgan showing up, that's going to change the dynamic," executive producer Gale Ann Hurd teased to E! News. "You've got a community that really was not prepared to deal with what was out there, and was living on borrowed time. And it's still dealing with the integration—can these two groups really find commonality and what happens when Morgan is thrown into the equation, who seemingly renounced violence except to protect himself."
And fans can expect some new faces in season six, as Nurse Jackie's Merritt Wever and Ethan Embry have joined the cast as two new Alexandria residents. Spoiler alert: they don't seem to be fans of Rick judging from the season six trailer.
