The 23-year-old singer joined British late-night host Alan Carr for a recent interview and wasn't afraid to open up about her sexuality.
When Carr asked her if "Cool for the Summer" was about being a lesbian (citing lyrics like "Tell me what you want, what you like, it's ok / I'm a little curious, too" and "Got a taste for the cherry / I just need to take a bite) she wasn't about to deny anything.
"I'm not confirming and I'm definitely not denying," she quipped with a smile. "All of my songs are based off of personal experiences. I don't think there's anything wrong with experimentation at all."
Carr—who is openly gay—joked that he "experimented once and it stuck."
"Hey, I didn't say it didn't stick either," Lovato responded, causing the crowd to erupt in cheers.
Take that how you will, but it definitely sounds like the singer is throwing some major hints our way.
Meanwhile, the former Disney star wouldn't be the first out of her age group to come out as bisexual recently. Miley Cyrus opened up about her sexuality in June, admitting she's dated both men and women in Time magazine.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer says that being with a man made her feel an "overly macho" energy. "That made me feel like I had to be a femme-bot, which I'm not," she explained. "And then when I was with a girl, I felt like, ‘Oh s--t, she's going to need someone to protect her, so I'm going to need to have this macho energy.' And that didn't feel right either."
However, she apparently got over that feeling as she began dating Victoria's Secret model Stella Maxwell shortly thereafter—though she still shoots down the "girlfriend" title.
"I'm 22, I'm going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I'm with," she admitted in Elle U.K.'s October issue. "I'm very open about it; I'm pansexual. But I'm not in a relationship."
Still, the Cyrus isn't afraid to show some PDA with Maxwell, sharing a passionate making out session in a Los Angeles parking lot and posing together for a risqué photo shoot in W magazine over the summer.
