The struggle is real for new mom Carrie Underwood.
The 32-year-old singer, whose son Isaiah Michael is nearly 7 months old, caught up with E! News at NYFW ahead of her very first fashion show for her fitness line Calia by Carrie Underwood.
No surprise, the former American Idol winner looked perfectly put together in a black and white stripped tee with her blond hair down, but she admitted her personal life is far more hectic behind the scenes as she juggles raising her son and being a working mom.
"You learn that awkwardness is part of being a mom," the "Before He Cheats" beauty admitted to E!'s Catt Sadler when asked about breast pumping before recounting her recent experiences.
"I've literally turned my chair around into a corner over on like a side room [at a restaurant] and pumped there," she revealed before adding, "I pumped at a concert once, I was attending somebody else's concert. Awkwardness is a part of being a mom."
Breast-pumping aside, we couldn't help but notice how freakin' fab Ms. Underwood looks (heck, she was already back in her size 2 dress at the CMT Awards) and had to ask what she's been doing to get her bod back in shape.
"I feel good. I work out if and when I can. I've tried to focus more on my eating and stuff like that, fueling up right," she shared. "I don't get to work out as much as I used to, but that's OK. And I feel good and I feel healthy and I feel strong."
Her exercise of choice when she does have a moment to squeeze in a workout?
"I like to run. I found myself running more this summer than I ever have…it just seems to have worked better in my schedule," Mike Fisher's wife shared.
Underwood's son was back at her hotel during her chat with E! News, so naturally, the proud mama had to take a moment to gush over her little one.
"This morning he was watching us get ready, over there smiling on the couch," she shared. "He's sweet. I'm not a morning person but he's just so happy in the morning it makes it a little easier."
While Underwood said Isaiah is a "great" travel buddy, she did have one "complaint."
"I feel like every time I leave the house, I have, like 20 bags!" she confessed.
