Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa got a very unique birthday present this year when he and his wife and business partner Christina El Moussa welcomed a bouncing baby boy into their family two weeks ago, the night before Tarek turned 34.
Son Brayden James weighed in at 8 pounds, 9 ounces and Christina took to Instagram to share the happy news.
"Yesterday was crazy! Started labor early in the morning. It was progressing nicely throughout the day but in the end I had to have an emergency c-section," she captioned some incredibly adorable pics. "It Wasn't my plan but baby is happy and healthy ��. We love him so much!!"
The delivery was a small hiccup after a major scare two years ago, when Tarek was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. While he was undergoing radiation, Christina underwent two series of IVF treatments, but both ultimately failed, one unfortunately resulting in a miscarriage. Finally, after a third and final try, Christina found out she was pregnant and Tarek wasted no time making plans for his future son.
"I'm going to raise him as a good man. I'm going to make him a superior athlete, make sure he gets good grades and hopefully plays college baseball," El Moussa told People in April.
Big sister Taylor, who spoke to her baby brother through her mom's belly throughout the pregnancy, was all smiles as she stepped up to the plate to feed brother Brayden a bottle. She was a natural!
As for Mom and Dad, the HGTV stars were able to spare an hour or two recently for a romantic date—even if they were home by 8 p.m.
"First post baby Date night. We were exhausted and home by 8 but it was so nice to have a little alone time," Christina wrote on her Instagram.
