Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor Expecting 1st Child—Check Out Their Adorable Announcement!

NBA star and singer girlfriend will welcome a baby girl in early 2016

Here's another slam dunk for NBA star Iman Shumpert!

The Cleveland Cavaliers athlete recently confirmed on Instagram that singer girlfriend Teyana Taylor is pregnant with the couple's first child. The soon-to-be parents are expecting a baby girl in January 2016. 

Shumpert, 25, shared a photo of a sonogram of the baby, adding the sweetest message for his ladylove.

"When a man loves a woman how she was born to be loved...procreation is the best blessing you can receive! I couldn't be more happy than to share my first child with the woman I intended to have my family with," he wrote.

Shumpert's newest bundle of joy is already off to a great start towards following in her daddy's footsteps—he revealed the baby's name will be Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr.

And though rumors have been swirling for some time that Teyana was expecting, Iman explained why they decided to wait on letting fans in on the secret. 

"We want that world to be as pure as possible for her," Shumpert continued. "We people, show the world what we feel the world should see when we want them to see it...something this beautiful had to be announced when we were ready for everyone to know...this is what happiness grows into! I love you @teyanataylor thank you for your sacrifice in starting our very own family!"

The "Maybe" songstress, 24, re-posted her man's Instagram, adding, "& that's all that matters... I love you baby."
