Julianne Hough is over the moon and it shows!
The newly engaged Dancing With the Stars judge chatted with E! News about saying yes to her longtime beau Brooks Laich after he popped the big question earlier this month.
"I never thought I would be that girl to be like, 'Look [at my ring!]' but it is pretty awesome," she said when asked about her stunning diamond sparkler.
Hough also revealed that shortly after meeting her fiancé back in December 2013, she knew that she would spend the rest of her life with him.
"When I met him it was kind of like, Yeah, I knew and I think he knew too," the bubbly blonde admitted before adding, "We kind of knew it was going to happen."
And when asked whether or not she's already starting to plan for her wedding, Hough confessed that she's still taking things one day at a time and isn't looking too much into the future just yet.
"We're just enjoying our engagement," said Hough. "I think right now we're just enjoying that part. We really enjoy our stages. I think we enjoyed the dating stage and being engaged, so I think we like to enjoy each stage."
Hough first let the world in on her engagement news after posting an Instagram photo of her hugging Laich shortly after the romantic proposal on Aug. 18.
In a recent post on her blog, the future Mrs. Laich opened up about her gorgeous new ring and how excited she's been since the special day.
"The ring itself makes me feel very feminine and takes my breath away every time I look down, which I can't stop doing, by the way," Hough wrote. "When it comes to taking it off, forget it. I'll even wake up in the middle of the night to make sure it's still there!"
She added, "I never thought I'd be the girl sticking her hand out to her friends and screaming in unison but here I am, shrieking all over Los Angeles."
Just as exciting? Hough is an executive producer of ABC's #DanceBattle America! The idea for the TV special came from social media, as Hough and Maria Menounos have recruited family members and celebrity friends to participate in dance battles for several holiday seasons.
ABC's #DanceBattle America premieres on Monday, Sept. 14, at 10 p.m., following the premiere of Dancing With the Stars.
