Apparently Today Show host Karl Stefanovic forgot for a second that he lived in Australian, where the spiders are as big as your head and giant sharks leap out of the water in an effort to keep you from going near any form of water ever again.

After watching a terrifying segment on how the Discovery Channel now has better technology to study sharks, which ended with footage of the biggest shark we've ever seen leaping out of the water, Karl and his cohost Lisa Wilkinson's were scared speechless.

And as Australians they're probably used to the weird, freaky stuff that happens in nature down under. (Again, have you seen their spiders?!) So when a video leaves them looking like this:

You know it's some next-level s--t.

"I am never going back in the water," Stefanovic announced. "That's it. That's the biggest thing I've ever seen. Let's go to the local pool."

The good news is that we now have a new reaction GIF to use anytime someone says or does something that is truly shocking. For example, we could have used these GIFs when Nicki Minaj called out Miley Cyrus live onstage at the VMAs:

Thanks, Karl!
