A young fan of Hugh Jackman and Wolverine recently got the surprise of his life.

A boy named Domenic, 9, who suffers from the incurable genetic disorder Cystic Fibrosis, got to meet his hero, thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. And that wasn't even on the original agenda.

Domenic had appeared on the Kyle and Jackie O show on Australian radio station KIIS 1065 and got to talk to Jackman over the phone, on the air. The actor is in his native Australia to prepare for his new Broadway to Oz musical show tour, which will debut in Melbourne on November 24.

"What's your favorite Wolverine action pose and line?" Domenic asked him.

Unbeknownst to the boy, the actor was speaking while standing right outside the studio door.

"Hang on one sec, mate, I'm gonna find a really cool way to show you, OK?" Jackman replied.

The actor entered the room and gave the boy his answer in person and gave him a big hug.

"He's got the biggest grin on his face you've ever seen," Jackie O commented.

How do you top such an emotional moment? The two then proceeded to improvise Wolverine lines together.

"I've met a lot of fans over the years," Jackman told Domenic. "You're one of my favorites."
