Rob Kardashian is on a mission.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has been doing everything he can recently to focus on his health and get back into fighting shape.

A source tells E! News that "for the first time in a long time Rob is committed to changing his diet habits."

Our insider also shared that "he's been working with a chef and doing really well" so far.

"His regimen involves more than just cardio and weights," the source added, but he's made quite an effort to work out hard with his personal trainer, Gunnar Peterson, on a consistent basis.

And while the 28-year-old has gone to great lengths to shield his appearance from the public's eye over the last year or so, lately he's become increasingly active once again on social media.

In fact, he's made mention of several hikes that he's gone on with Kim Kardashian and even joked about running into Tyga and Kylie Jenner during a morning walk around his neighborhood this week.

Earlier this summer, Kris Jenner opened up about her concerns for her son when chatting with E! News.

"Rob is living in L.A. right now and he's doing well, finding out what makes him tick and struggling with some stuff," she explained.

"My job is to be there for him and to love him as hard as I can. Everybody goes through stuff."

Khloé Kardashian has also given some insight into how Rob has been doing lately, saying in a separate interview with E!, "Rob definitely has his ups and downs, and he's been struggling for the past year and a half, maybe two years, which I think we've all had those times in our life."

She continued, "Right now I'm really proud of him. He's been working out a little and trying to get his groove back. And he acknowledges it! He's aware that he's very introverted and of course not the way he used to be. I think being aware is probably the best thing."
