Betty White is scrubbing in for Bones. The beloved TV star will play Dr. Beth Mayer in an upcoming season 11 episode of the hit Fox series. And get this: White's character is the Jeffersonian's newest squintern. She's brought in consult on a murder linked to fantasy football, one of her areas of expertise. The character is described as very accomplished and sharp as a tack…so a real stretch for White, one of hardest working people in show business who just happens to be 93!

White took to Twitter to announce the news.

"Wanted to let you know first that I will be joining the @BONESonFOX family for an upcoming episode this fall! #Bones," she tweeted.

White's episode is scheduled to air this October.

White's TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland just wrapped its six-season run. Next up for the icon is a spot on the To Tell the Truth panel alongside Real Housewives of Atlanta's NeNe Leakes. Anthony Anderson of black-ish will host ABC's version of the revived game show. Her other TV credits include Community, The Golden Girls, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Life With Elizabeth, Boston Legal, The Bold and the Beautiful, Everwood, That ‘70s Show…and the list goes on. How much time do you have? She's a legend.

The new season of Bones picks up six months after the season 10 finale. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) have moved to a new town and have new jobs, but a murder brings them back into the thick of it with their former colleagues at the Jeffersonian and FBI.

Bones season 11 premieres Thursday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
